Mitchell Scherr
Chief Executive Officer
Mitch Scherr serves as chief executive officer of Llesiant. An Internet pioneer and information relationship expert, Mitch served as Director of
Internet Services for Individual Investor Group, Inc., a New Media Financial Information Company.
Mitch was the first hire at EDGAR Online, where he developed strategic relationships and product offerings that generated more than 10 million
page views per month. As a consultant, he has advised numerous companies about information strategies.
Mitch obtained a BA in Communications from California State University, Northridge. He also attended Yale Law School and completed studies in
Director Professionalism at Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management.
John Morton
Chief Technology Officer
John Morton serves as chief technology officer of Llesiant. He has wide-ranging experience developing web applications, interfaces and search
algorithms that help companies and nonprofit organizations meet their business development and administrative challenges.
Prior to his work in web application development and vertical search, John worked in the rarified atmosphere of theoretical physics. As a staff
scientist and project manager at the University of Minnesota's Upper Atmospheric Physics Group, he worked on instrumentation engineering, electronics
designs and advanced research projects, and his instruments have flown on the space shuttle. He has published dozens of scholarly articles and has
performed additional graduate work in theoretical physics at the University of Texas.
Humphrey Marr
VP Product Development
Humphrey Marr serves as vice president of product development at Llesiant, overseeing the strategic development of the company’s business information
solutions, including the company’s flagship product, Llesiant Relevance. Humphrey has over 20 years of high tech entrepreneurial experience,
bringing products and services to market.
Prior to joining Llesiant, Humphrey served as Director of Professional Services at Pluck.com, a leader in Web 2.0 software technology. He successfully
managed the development and deployment of syndication systems for major online and traditional publishers such as MSN, Hearst, Gannet, Reuters, Cox and
many others. Previously, Humphrey served as CEO of Educational Assistance Services, a provider of award-winning software for universities, students and
employers. Humphrey was also founder and member of the original management team at Dejanews/deja.com which was later acquired by eBay and Google. He
also served as Director of eBusiness Development for PwC.
Humphrey holds a BS in Computer Science from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
Cameron Burke
VP Strategic Alliances
Cameron Burke serves as vice president of strategic alliances at Llesiant. His primary focus is on strengthening Llesiant’s position in key markets via
direct sales and strategic alliances. Cameron brings more than 10 years of sales, marketing, and management experience, selling high-tech solutions to
Fortune 1000 companies globally.
Prior to his current role at Llesiant, he served as Senior Sales Manager for OnVista AG, based in London, UK. Cameron managed both direct sales and
channel partner initiatives. Prior to this, he held position of UK Sales Manager for Brunswick Direct, a division of UBS Warburg.
Cameron graduated with a BA from the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia.
Cynthia Knowles
VP Knowledge Architecture
Cynthia Knowles serves as vice president at Llesiant, overseeing taxonomy development and implementation. Cynthia has over 15 years of experience
implementing knowledge management strategies and creating proprietary taxonomies, hierarchical classification systems, and controlled vocabularies
to organize information.
Prior to joining Llesiant, she managed the development and implementation of an intranet portal for Baker Botts L.L.P., an international law firm.
Cynthia obtained a BS from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Glyn Meek
Chairman of the Board
Glyn Meek has been in computer-related, high-tech industries for over 35 years. After two post graduate degrees, he joined British Telecoms and was involved
in early design work on computer operating systems. In a European-based career up through 1980, he was involved in a variety of software projects including
a posting at the European Space Agency headquarters in West Germany and Paris and a period with NATO, back in the United Kingdom. He has personally developed
software that was nominated as “Best New Software Product of the Year” by InfoWorld magazine. After a spell working with Mort Meyerson, the former CEO of
Perot Systems, he joined Dell Computer Corporation in 1989 as the first CIO, during the early, spectacular growth of Dell. The systems he helped design and
implement are still used today as the foundations of Dell’s business systems. Further positions in Austin since that time have included high-level strategy
consulting for Accenture, and as the VP of Services for Tivoli when he was involved in the IBM purchase of Tivoli and became an IBM VP for a number of years
after the acquisition.
Glyn has been actively involved in various leadership and strategic roles with many successful entrepreneurial ventures including Collective Technologies and
TriActive. At the request of the Mayor of Austin and the Texas Governor’s Office, he was the President and CEO of the WCIT2006 (World Congress on Information
Technology). He is a partner in a small software company (last year the product he personally designed and wrote, was nominated by Pocket PC Magazine as ‘Best
New Business Product of the Year’), is editor-in-chief and chairman of a quarterly magazine, and a part-time lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of
Texas LBJ Business School.
He has been published in CIO Magazine, is internationally recognized as a speaker on ICT-related issues, and still consults on a variety of IT projects
around the world. He is chairman of two high-tech companies, sits on the board of a number of others, is a board member of two University of Texas groups,
and as a board member of the American Diabetes Association, helped organize last year’s ‘Walk for Diabetes’.
Glyn has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, and two postgraduate degrees in Computer Science from Imperial College in London.
